Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Python-based automation scripts using Pytest and Requests to simulate thousands of real-time trades and stress-test trading platforms
• Validate ETL/ELT processes within AWS, ensuring data flows correctly from ingestion to storage and identifying data loss or transformation errors
• Execute advanced SQL queries against MySQL, Snowflake, and Hive databases to verify data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Identify performance bottlenecks in the data product lifecycle and work with developers to optimize under high load
• Conduct root cause analysis tracing issues to specific services, API endpoints, or database procedures
• Support releases during off-business hours and provide ad hoc support to ensure system reliability

Required Skills

• Python — writing scripts from scratch to generate test data, mock APIs, and simulate traffic
• Advanced SQL — complex joins and window functions across large datasets
• AWS data pipeline testing — S3, EC2, EMR, Lambda, REST APIs
• API testing — RESTful APIs integrated into automation suites
• Performance and load testing experience
• Bilingual: English and French
