Description

You will validate Medicaid eligibility, claims, enrollment, and payment data across backend systems. You will own ETL and data warehouse testing, performing source-to-target validation and reconciliation. Your work ensures data integrity through complex SQL queries and business rule validation.

Responsibilities

• Write and execute complex SQL to validate data transformations, integrity, and business rules.
• Test HIPAA EDI transactions (270/271, 276/277, 834, 835, 837, 820) and validate batch jobs, data feeds, and scheduled pipelines.
• Perform backend and data-centric API testing using REST and SOAP protocols.
• Identify data quality issues including duplicates, nulls, mismatches, and threshold failures.
• Own the defect lifecycle from identification through resolution and support UAT and production data validation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of QA experience with a strong backend and data focus.
• Hands-on ETL and data warehouse testing experience.
• Advanced SQL skills: write, debug, validate, and reconcile data.
• Medicaid and MMIS system experience.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data and HIPAA EDI transactions.
• Experience validating batch processing and large datasets.
• Proficiency with JIRA, ALM, XRAY, and Postman.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.

Preferred Skills

• QA Lead or senior ownership experience.
• Mainframe data exposure (COBOL / DB2 / batch jobs).
• State Medicaid or government healthcare project experience.
