Description

You will design and execute security projects focused on the RACF function and mainframe infrastructure. You will engineer initiatives involving authentication, authorization, and automation while collaborating with infrastructure teams to assess technical feasibility. You will also coach team members and participate in an on-call rotation to resolve security issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for business problems based on security best practices and architectural requirements.
• Engineer mainframe initiatives involving authentication (Kerberos, Digital Certificates, MFA), authorization (role-based security, privileged access), and automation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams including Systems Programming, DBA, and CICS/MQ support to assess technical feasibility.
• Monitor key performance indicators and establish methodologies for preventative security actions.
• Coach RACF team members and participate in an on-call rotation to resolve security issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a RACF Engineer or Administrator.
• Advanced knowledge of IBM RACF and IBM-ZSecure configuration and internals.
• Proficiency in JCL, REXX, and CarLa programming.
• Experience with z/OS utilities including TSO, ISPF, and SDSF.
• Working knowledge of database technologies including DB2, SQL, and Sybase.
• Understanding of z/OS installations, including Systems Programming, Storage, Networks, Unix Services, and CICS.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CA/Broadcom Top Secret Security.
• Knowledge of Perl, Shell Scripting, OpenSSL, SSH, and UNIX/USS file systems.
• Prior experience with Systems Programming, Mainframe Network engineering, or Middleware such as MQ Series.
