Description

Lead research and development in software design, solver research, and user experience.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning, architecture, and research activities.
• Execute complex development, bug verification, release testing, and beta support.
• Research problems identified by QA or product support to develop technical solutions.
• Analyze marketing requirements, including performance criteria and target environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage interns or co-ops as required.

Required Skills

• Commercial experience with software design and implementation in C++ or other object-oriented languages.
• Proficiency in C++ development.
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of experience, MS with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year.
• Experience in complex software development requiring extensive analysis.

Preferred Skills

• High-performance computing (HPC) experience, including shared and distributed memory development.
• GPU acceleration for numerical methods.
• Experience in large-scale commercial software development environments.
