Description

You will manage and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments to support database operations and system stability. You will own the automation of administrative tasks and provide technical guidance to the team.

Responsibilities

• Support the database team by diagnosing performance issues, patching, upgrading, and provisioning Linux systems.
• Develop, update, and execute Ansible playbooks to automate administrative tasks.
• Perform system troubleshooting and issue analysis across memory, CPU, networking, and disk I/O.
• Design new solutions, processes, and operational standards to improve functional strategy.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior and mid-level team members.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x platform administration, including installation, configuration, and optimization.
• 7+ years of experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting CPU, memory, networking, and disk I/O.
• 5+ years of experience working with virtual platforms.
• 5+ years of experience developing and executing Ansible playbooks.
• 3+ years of experience with Bash Shell and Python for automation and deployment.
• Expertise in the Linux command-line environment.
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
