You will manage and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments across development, testing, and production stages.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and ecosystem tools including Red Hat Satellite and Identity Management (IdM).
Perform system upgrades, patch management, security hardening, and performance tuning.
Implement automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, or Python to streamline administration tasks.
Manage storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions, including Rubrik and Oracle Database backups.
Troubleshoot issues at the OS, database, and application levels, including NFS setup and cron job configuration.
Support application teams by providing guidance on Linux-based deployments and maintaining system documentation.
Required Skills
Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification with a valid certification number.
Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Extensive experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Unix (AIX) IBM pSeries systems.
Proficiency with Ansible, Bash, Python, and Elastic Search.
Experience managing Oracle, WebLogic, and Apache Web Servers.
Knowledge of vSphere hosted RHEL servers and complex networked system environments.
Experience with load balancing, partitioning, and disaster recovery methodologies.
Ability to troubleshoot within environments requiring 24/7 system availability.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Progress 4GL/OpenEdge, PeopleSoft, and CVS (Concurrent Version System).
