Description

Design, develop, and optimize REXX-based applications and automation solutions within IBM mainframe environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain REXX programs and automation scripts for mainframe operations.
• Integrate REXX programs with JCL, ISPF, TSO/E, SDSF, and other z/OS utilities.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize existing REXX code for performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Support production deployments, incident resolution, and root cause analysis within SLA timelines.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in REXX development within IBM mainframe environments.
• Strong expertise in REXX programming, IBM z/OS, TSO/E, and ISPF.
• Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language), SDSF, and VSAM.
• Experience with IBM z/OS Administration.
• Knowledge of Broadcom OPS/MVS automation.
• Familiarity with security tools RACF or ACF2.
• Experience with DB2, IMS, or CICS is required.
• Understanding of SDLC and change management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IBM System Automation or other mainframe automation tools.
• Knowledge of CLIST, Assembler, COBOL, or PL/I.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control systems for mainframe development.
