Description

You will build and maintain applications using Ruby and the Rails framework.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Write idiomatic Ruby code following established language paradigms.
• Develop and manage background jobs using Sidekiq.
• Manage data persistence and caching using MySQL, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Deploy applications to cloud environments including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Handle deployments and configurations using GitLab and Jenkins in a Linux environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of Ruby programming language idioms and constructs.
• Strong experience with the Ruby on Rails framework.
• Experience with background job processing via Sidekiq or similar tools.
• Proficiency with MySQL, Cassandra, or Redis.
• Experience deploying to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Comfortable operating within a Linux environment.
• Experience with GitLab or Jenkins for deployment and configuration.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent graduate education.
