Description

You will own the design and maintenance of scalable, distributed Ruby on Rails services within a service-oriented architecture. You will build performance-sensitive systems capable of serving tens of millions of requests daily.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Develop and maintain mid-tier services within a service-oriented architecture.
• Build and optimize performance-sensitive systems for high-volume traffic.
• Document, test, and modify existing systems to ensure reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for senior team members.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience developing and maintaining robust APIs.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub for version control.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Vim.
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies.
