Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable distributed applications using Ruby on Rails.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable, performance-sensitive Ruby on Rails services within a service-oriented architecture.
• Design and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other senior engineers.
• Document, test, and modify systems to ensure distributed application stability.
• Collaborate within an autonomous, cross-functional agile team.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience developing mid-tier services in a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Vim.
• Comfortable working within Agile development methodologies.
• Experience working with APIs and GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of JavaScript and other front-end technologies.
