Description

Build and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, owning technical design and production stability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modular, maintainable backend applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Architect database schemas and optimize queries for PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Build secure, versioned RESTful APIs following best practices.
• Implement testing strategies using RSpec or Minitest to ensure high code coverage.
• Manage CI/CD deployments, resolve production issues, and lead code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Strong hands-on experience with Rails 6.x or 7.x.
• Proficiency in MVC architecture and RESTful API design.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL optimization.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, and release management.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
