Description

What You?ll Do:

• Design & Develop Applications: Build and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails, following best practices in design and architecture.
• Architectural Ownership: Drive technical design decisions, ensuring modular, maintainable, and high-performing codebases.
• Database Optimization: Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies using PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• API Development: Develop secure, scalable, and versioned RESTful APIs.
• Code Quality & Testing: Implement robust testing strategies using RSpec/Minitest, ensuring high code coverage and reliability.
• Production Support: Troubleshoot and resolve live production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and ensure system stability.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Lead code reviews, mentor team members, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Release Management: Manage deployments, versioning, and CI/CD processes using Git-based workflows.
  
   

Expertise You?ll Bring: 

• Expert-level proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Strong hands-on experience with Rails 6.x / 7.x (latest preferred)
• Deep understanding of:
• Advanced experience with PostgreSQL / MySQL, including:
• Strong expertise in testing frameworks:
• Solid understanding of:
• Proven experience managing production systems, including:
• Proficiency in Git, code reviews, and release management
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
• Master?s or Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent education
