Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Ruby on Rails.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect modular, maintainable backend systems and drive technical design decisions.
• Develop secure, scalable, and versioned RESTful APIs.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies for PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Implement testing strategies using RSpec or Minitest to ensure high code coverage.
• Manage deployments, CI/CD processes, and production support including on-call rotations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (6.x / 7.x).
• Strong proficiency in MVC architecture.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL database optimization.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in Git for version control and code review.
• Ability to debug complex production issues and ensure system stability.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
• Proven track record of managing production systems independently.
