Description

You will own the architecture, delivery, and team leadership for scalable Ruby on Rails applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale Ruby on Rails applications, defining technical strategy and system design.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a development team, driving code quality through reviews and best practices.
• Optimize application performance, security, and database queries to ensure production stability.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud infrastructure monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of overall software development experience.
• 4+ years of Team Lead or Tech Lead experience with proven delivery ownership.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails and system design.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, security standards, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Git and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React.js and Node.js.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
