Description

You will build and optimize backend systems for high-performance media processing and distributed storage.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend applications and distributed systems using Rust.
• Process video files through rendering, transcoding, trimming, and metadata extraction.
• Optimize low-latency access and bandwidth efficiency for large media files.
• Design and implement APIs and relational database schemas.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements to deliver quality software under shifting priorities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Rust and backend application development.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Hands-on work with video processing, codecs, and file formats.
• Familiarity with ffmpeg-next, GStreamer, or similar media tools.
• Proficiency with relational databases.
• Experience with Git-based version control and agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of local and networked storage including NAS, RAID, SMB, and NFS.
• Experience with hybrid architectures, P2P, edge computing, or remote mounting.
