Description

You will manage the performance and scale of a Salesforce multi-tenant database.

Monitor and respond to production workload performance trends to prevent issues. Partner with development teams to design and tune products for optimal scalability. Collaborate with operations staff to triage and resolve production performance incidents. Monitor database performance and usage, optimizing both queries and the generating code. Identify bottlenecks affecting scalability and overall system performance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production workload performance trends to prevent issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in application performance engineering.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SQL performance tuning.
• Expertise in development and maintenance of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proficiency with SQL Trace, TKPROF, Statspack, and AWR reports.
• Experience troubleshooting locking issues, wait events, and hang analysis.
• Knowledge of database cluster, multi-tenant, and cloud architecture including RAC and Grid Infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AWS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning.
