Description

You will own the performance and scalability of the Salesforce multi-tenant database.

Monitor and respond to production workload performance trends to prevent regressions. Partner with development teams to design and tune products for optimal scalability. Collaborate with operations staff to triage and resolve production performance issues. Identify bottlenecks related to scalability and performance.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as an Application Performance Engineer.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SQL performance tuning.
• Expertise in development and maintenance of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Working knowledge of SQL Trace, TKPROF, Statspack, and AWR reports.
• Experience troubleshooting locking issues, wait events, and hang analysis.
• Experience with database cluster, multi-tenant, or cloud architecture (RAC, Grid Infrastructure).
• Ability to lead system improvements and manage cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• PostgreSQL performance tuning.
