Description

You will lead SCADA and controls engineering efforts within the renewable energy sector.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation logic using SEL RTAC, GE RX3i, and PLC platforms.
• Manage communications protocols including DNP, Modbus, SEL, Goose messaging, and IEC 61850.
• Oversee technical integration of Ethernet, TCP/IP, managed switches, and firewall functionality.
• Communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders using clear, accessible language.
• Coordinate with multiple contractors and consultants to support the SCADA workload.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of direct SCADA/Controls experience in the renewable energy industry.
• Technical proficiency with SEL RTAC (required) and GE RX3i.
• Experience with IEC 61131 and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of electric power systems, protection, and controls design.
• Hands-on experience with Ignition, Copa Data Zenon, OSIPI, Wonderware, Clearview, or Proficy Machine Edition.
• Proficiency with AcSELerator RTAC.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and network security fundamentals.
• Ability to manage complex automation and communication protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Field or project commissioning experience.
