Description

You will own hands-on development using Scala and Apache Spark in an AWS environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain Scala code designed to run on Apache Spark.
• Develop software using functional programming paradigms instead of traditional OOP.
• Implement client solutions within AWS environments.
• Manage data workflows using AWS Airflow.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on development experience with Scala.
• Strong proficiency in Apache Spark.
• Extensive experience with SQL and database fundamental concepts.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Aurora and Redshift.
• Experience working with AWS cloud fundamentals.
• Proficiency with AWS Airflow.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS EC2 and Lambda.
