Description

Lead the development of complex application features and infrastructure components with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drive application development focused on delivering business-valuable features.
• Resolve complex technical problems and provide off-shift or weekend support.
• Maintain software quality by establishing development best practices within the team.
• Communicate with end users and internal customers to direct debugging, testing, and development.
• Execute integrated testing and customer acceptance testing to ensure software integrity.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of overall professional experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience with Java 8 or 11.
• 2+ years of recent Scala programming experience.
• 2+ years of recent Akka data streaming experience.
• 2+ years of backend development and RESTful web services experience.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with SQL and Java 8.
• Experience with DevOps workflows, specifically Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Architecture experience.
• Local to Chicago for a remote hybrid arrangement.
