You will build and maintain scalable big data applications within a software product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable big data applications.
• Implement RESTful web services using Scala, Java, or Python.
• Develop data processing workflows using Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.
• Apply machine learning and information retrieval techniques to solve data problems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software product development.
• Expertise in functional programming, specifically Scala.
• Proficiency with Spark, YARN, HDFS, Oozie, and Hive.
• Experience implementing RESTful web services in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Hands-on experience with both NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Geospatial concepts.
