You will build and maintain scalable big data applications within a software product development organization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable big data applications using functional programming principles.
• Implement RESTful web services using Java, Scala, or Python.
• Develop data processing workflows using Hadoop and Spark.
• Manage data storage and retrieval using SQL and NoSQL databases.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software product development.
• Expertise in functional programming, specifically Scala.
• Proficiency with Spark, YARN, HDFS, Oozie, and Hive.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Background in information retrieval and machine learning.
• Familiarity with Geospatial concepts.
