Description

You will model battery characteristics using fundamental models and AI/ML algorithms to support development, factory qualification, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to drive battery development and grading.
• Develop pipelines, models, and simulation environments using electrochemical models or AI/ML algorithms.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers in the US and India to gather insights for model development.
• Communicate model results and insights to R&D, Manufacturing, IT, and leadership teams.
• Create intellectual property and stay current with battery, modeling, and AI/ML literature.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with AI/ML and optimization algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data management.
• Ability to use visualization libraries and Pandas for data manipulation.
• Strong communication skills for reporting technical results to cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Background in chemical engineering, electrochemistry, or battery modeling.
• Experience with PyBamm, LTspice, COMSOL, MATLAB, GT Suite, AutoLion, CFD, or thermal modeling.
• Knowledge of Tableau, JMp, or UI/UX development.
