Description

Own the test automation strategy and framework for Java-based APIs and microservices. Design, build, and maintain scalable test infrastructure to ensure reliability across CI/CD pipelines.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SDET automation for Java-based APIs and microservices using REST Assured.
• Design and extend the test automation framework, creating reusable utilities for JSON/XML and schema validation.
• Execute and troubleshoot automated tests on Linux, analyzing logs and debugging backend flows.
• Integrate automated test runs into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Maven/Gradle.
• Implement API testing for endpoints, status codes, payload structures, and authentication flows.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of SDET or QA automation experience.
• Strong QA automation with Java-based API testing.
• Test automation framework design and API automation using REST Assured.
• API validation including JSON/XML validation, schema validation, and contract verification.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
• Linux debugging with log analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Postman/Newman or Karate for API testing.
• Containerization exposure (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• BDD with Cucumber, test management, and reporting tools (Allure, Extent).
