Description

You will design, build, and maintain enterprise automation frameworks for Hyatt's commercial and guest-facing applications, operating as an automation engineer first.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-quality Java code and robust automation frameworks from scratch.
• Execute API automation for REST and SOAP services, including tool-based validation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support continuous delivery.
• Partner with Software Engineers, Product Owners, and Architects to troubleshoot production issues and define testing standards.
• Mentor junior SDETs and conduct code reviews to ensure maintainable, object-oriented automation code.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software testing experience with at least 5 years specifically as an SDET.
• Strong Java development skills with deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation and framework design.
• Proficiency in API testing using Postman and SoapUI for REST and SOAP services.
• Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Proficient in Git for version control, including branching strategies and merge workflows.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, including sprint ceremonies and defect management.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of XML, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for comprehensive test coverage.
• Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and mobile testing.
• Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Splunk.
