Description

You will secure and maintain compliance for AWS cloud infrastructure and systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across AWS resources including IAM, S3, VPC, and Security Groups.
• Automate security processes using scripting and AWS APIs.
• Conduct security assessments to identify risks and implement mitigating controls.
• Harden AWS infrastructure through OS patching, secure logging, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant experience working with AWS.
• Deep understanding of AWS policy language and expertise writing JSON IAM and S3 policies.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python (Boto3), Bash, or AWS CLI.
• Hands-on experience remediating security in S3, NACLs, IGW, VPC Network Firewall, and Endpoints.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking principles and protocols.
• Experience with AWS account security auditing and cloud deployment automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical security issues and maintain documentation in Atlassian Confluence.
• Proficiency using Atlassian Jira for project management.
• Availability to work until 2 pm Pacific Time.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Security Specialty certification with 3+ years of practical experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
