You serve as the advanced escalation point for a 24x7x365 Federal Security Operations Center.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response, threat hunting, and forensic artifact analysis.
• Perform malware and implant analysis as part of Tier 3 security services.
• Analyze system and network logs to identify security events, anomalies, and configuration issues.
• Execute and implement security activities within a continuous operational framework.
• Provide technical mentorship and training for Tier I and Tier II analysts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a 24x7x365 SOC environment.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR, NGAV/EDR, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Strong background in incident response, system/network operations, and threat intelligence.
• Deep understanding of cloud-based and hybrid cloud enterprise environments.
• Proficiency with cyber intrusion frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model.
• Compliance with DoD 8570.02 and DoD 8140.01 requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, or PenTest+.
