Description

You will own backend and server-side engineering responsibilities, designing and implementing integration and functional test suites while defining automation strategies and code coverage standards for microservice architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integration and functional test suites for microservice systems.
• Define testing best practices, automation strategies, and code coverage standards.
• Apply software architecture and infrastructure fundamentals to design scalable solutions.
• Integrate third-party dependencies and manage complex backend interactions.
• Collaborate within an agile environment to deliver robust server-side features.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend/server-side engineering experience with Java and/or Node.js.
• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing comprehensive testing suites.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD tooling, specifically CircleCI and GitHub.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Aurora, DocDB, and API Gateway.
• Familiarity with QA data setup, mocking strategies, and test data pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ATDD, BDD, or SBE methodologies.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Grafana and CloudWatch.
