Description

You will support a trading environment consisting of Windows 2016, 2019, and 2022 servers while actively participating in project planning and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Build and support Microsoft Failover clusters and stretch clusters.
• Monitor virtual environments for capacity, stress, risk, and workload to perform necessary remediation.
• Manage business continuance and disaster recovery to maintain system reliability and availability.
• Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support for production environments, including 24/7 on-call rotation and weekend work.
• Perform system upgrades, mandatory security patching, and proactive performance monitoring.
• Execute incident and problem management to resolve production issues following change management policies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in server engineering.
• Expert knowledge of Windows OS (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) and enterprise components including Domains, DNS, Registries, and DHCP/WINS.
• Expertise in Microsoft cluster technologies, including server, network, and component load balancing.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and networking functions such as TCP/IP, SNMP, subnetting, and routing.
• Experience with VMWare vSphere and vCenter.
• Proficiency with SAN/EMC storage and various SRDF types.
• Experience installing Windows on industry-standard hardware including HP, IBM, and Dell blade servers.
• Knowledge of IIS, .NET, and relational databases including Sybase, Oracle, and SQL.
• Experience with MQ Series and capacity planning.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Hyper-V, F5, and Dynatrace monitoring.
• Experience with Geneos.
