Description

You will own the infrastructure supporting a high-stakes trading environment, ensuring system reliability through rigorous maintenance and incident resolution.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Microsoft Failover and stretch clusters.
• Monitor virtual environments for capacity, stress, and workload risks, executing necessary remediation.
• Manage business continuity and disaster recovery protocols to maintain availability.
• Perform system upgrades, mandatory security patching, and proactive performance monitoring.
• Provide 1st through 3rd level support, including 24/7 on-call rotation and weekend work.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of server engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• Deep expertise in Active Directory, Domains, DNS, Registries, and DHCP/WINS.
• Proficiency with Microsoft cluster technologies, including server, network, and component load balancing.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, subnetting, and routing.
• Experience with VMWare vSphere and vCenter.
• Proficiency with SAN/EMC storage and SRDF types.
• Experience installing Windows on HP, IBM, and Dell blade hardware.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Hyper-V, F5, and Dynatrace monitoring.
• Experience with Geneos.
