Description

You will manage and support backup infrastructure, data recovery, and associated operational tasks in Bengaluru.

Responsibilities

• Maintain backup infrastructure, perform daily backups, and execute data recovery operations.
• Configure and maintain backups and restores across Unix, Windows, and Database environments including SQL and Oracle.
• Troubleshoot backup failures and manage the installation and configuration of filesystem and database agents or plugins.
• Administer CommVault policy-driven architecture, including CommServe, Media Agents, storage policies, and replication.
• Execute CommVault upgrades, service pack deployments, hotfixes, and firewall configurations.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of technical engineering and administration experience with CommVault.
• 4+ years of experience with Networker and Data Domain.
• Hands-on experience with Dell EMC products, including Data Domain dedupe appliances and Data Domain Virtual Edition.
• Experience with SAN and NAS implementations such as NetApp and EMC-Clarion/Celera.
• Proficiency in configuring CommVault indexing, schedules, retention policies, and reporting.
• Technical expertise in Unix, Windows, and Databases (SQL and Oracle).
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and ticketing tools.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift rotation.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud backup solutions and Azure Backup integration with Commvault.
