Description

Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, reliable systems while driving the transition to an engineering-centric IT operations model.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect reliable, scalable systems with a focus on availability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Define SRE principles and best practices for incident management, monitoring, alerting, and automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure services are designed for resiliency and operational reliability.
• Implement monitoring and observability frameworks to assess application and infrastructure performance.
• Mentor SRE teams to foster skill development and build a strong engineering practice.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, cloud technologies, development, and automation toolsets.
• Strong experience with AWS, including Control Tower, project setup, account creation, RDS, and SSO.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Linux commands and GitLab CI/CD setup.
• Experience with Terraform, specifically state management.
• Hands-on experience with APM tools, specifically Datadog, including composite monitoring and alerting.
• Understanding of Observability Frameworks and programmatic SLI/SLO blueprints.
• Automation experience using Ansible for data refreshes, releases, and DB snapshots.
• Proficiency in Groovy-DSL, Java, Python, and YAML.

Preferred Skills

• Professional certifications such as CSRE, CKA, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or Google Cloud Professional.
