Description

You will act as technical lead for the Retail SRE team, supporting highly available applications in on-premise and AWS environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the full service lifecycle from design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Manage end-to-end availability and performance of mission-critical services by building automation to prevent recurrence.
• Partner with product owners to set and manage SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Maintain infrastructure as code and monitor system metrics to proactively identify outages and security threats.
• Participate in triage, incident response, and blameless postmortems to improve system robustness.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of professional experience in engineering roles.
• Expertise in infrastructure orchestration using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in configuration management using Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Bash, or Shell.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab and GitHub.
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability using Datadog.
• Experience managing build tools like Maven.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Scale and optimize existing infrastructure through automation to eliminate toil.
