Description

You will design, build, and administer scalable data platforms on Snowflake, managing end-to-end ELT/ETL pipelines and platform stability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ELT/ETL solutions using complex SQL, Stored Procedures, UDFs, Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables.
• Administer Snowflake environments across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production, configuring Virtual Warehouses, RBAC, Security, and Network Policies.
• Develop and maintain Talend ETL/ELT jobs to integrate diverse source systems with Snowflake and cloud storage.
• Perform query optimization, warehouse tuning, and cost reduction strategies using Query Profile Analysis.
• Support deployments, environment migrations, and production releases while monitoring platform health.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or database administration.
• Advanced Snowflake expertise: Snowpark (Python), Iceberg Tables, Search Optimization Service, and Zero Copy Cloning.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Stored Procedures, and dimensional data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Talend for building and optimizing ETL/ELT jobs.
• Experience with performance tuning, resource monitors, and data sharing/replication.
• Familiarity with cloud storage integration (AWS S3, Azure Blob, or GCS).
• Ability to design metadata-driven and reusable data ingestion frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowpipe Streaming and Native Apps.
• Background in Materialized Views and External Tables.
