Description

Lead Snowflake development and data engineering efforts using Python and cloud-native tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Snowflake objects including SnowSQL, Snowpipes, Streams, Views, Procedures, and Dynamic Tables.
• Build data pipelines utilizing Snowpark, snowflake-connector, and Python libraries like pandas and boto3.
• Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and manage data movement between Snowflake and RDBMS like OracleDB and MSSQL.
• Optimize database performance through SQL tuning, troubleshooting, and efficient use of Snowflake Time Travel.
• Architect real-time or near real-time data setups using Kafka and Snowpipe.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of relevant experience in database development and data engineering.
• Expert-level Python proficiency, specifically with pandas, Snowpark, and snowflake-connector.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, including Snowpipes, Streams, and Dynamic Tables.
• Advanced SQL skills, specifically with joins, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3 and Lambda.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Proven ability to handle client requirements and advise on multiple projects.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of DBT.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Exposure to AWS Athena.
