Description

You will lead data development and optimization efforts using Snowflake and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowpark, Snowpipe, and Python.
• Optimize SQL performance, including joins, analytical functions, and troubleshooting.
• Manage data movement between Snowflake and other RDBMS like OracleDB and MSSQL.
• Implement real-time or near real-time data setups using Kafka and Snowpipe.
• Advise on multiple projects and handle client requirements through clear articulation.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of relevant experience in database development.
• Expertise in Python, specifically with pandas, boto3, and snowpark.
• Deep knowledge of Snowflake features: Snow SQL, Snow Pipes, Streams, Views, Procedures, CDC, and Dynamic Tables.
• Hands-on experience with snowflake-connector and parallel processing in Python.
• Proficiency in Snowflake Time Travel and data movement between Snowflake and RDBMS.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Cloud environment exposure, specifically AWS (S3, Lambda, Athena).
• Strong SQL skills including performance tuning and complex joins.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DBT.
• Knowledge of CI/CD using Jenkins or Bamboo.
