Provide technical direction and architectural leadership for software applications and systems within industrial control environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, research, and develop new applications and major system enhancements.
• Lead software development projects at a systems level to ensure technical excellence.
• Provide technical direction and advice to management regarding long-range planning.
• Guide developers and support staff on current technology states and future directions.
• Collaborate with management, product lines, and customers to develop new technologies.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Developer/Programmer.
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming for mobile equipment controls, including sensor and actuator integration.
• Siemens Step 7 programming for 300 Series Controllers.
• Siemens Step 7 programming for TIA Portal for 1500 series controllers.
• Proficiency in Step 7 languages including FBD, LAD, SCL, and CFC.
• HMI experience with Siemens WinCC, WinCC flexible, TIA Portal WinCC, and TIA Portal WinCC Unified.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or 17 years of software development experience.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
• Process controls experience with IE factory PLC process and control systems.
• LabVIEW experience and National Instruments cRIO hardware platform experience.
