Evaluate and document system architectures for mission-critical applications, uncover technical debt, and assess cloud modernization readiness.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate application architectures to identify technical debt and calculate total cost of ownership.
• Conduct interviews with vendor teams and DevOps engineers to gather detailed technical specifications.
• Perform SWOT analysis on existing digital assets and infrastructure components.
• Produce thorough written documentation to clarify complex digital assets and system designs.
• Assess application readiness for cloud modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application assessment and documenting technical debt.
• 5+ years of experience in application modernization for cloud readiness.
• 4+ years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and software development methodologies.
• 4+ years of full-stack development experience applying clean coding principles.
• 3+ years of experience designing application systems architecture.
• 3+ years of experience navigating infrastructure and operations within an Office of Technology environment.
• Proven ability to conduct technical interviews and extract details from engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in SDLC, DevSecOps, and development best practices.
• Extensive experience producing high-quality technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with mission-critical custom-built applications.
• Ability to determine total cost of ownership for legacy systems.
