Description

Lead technical design and development for a safety-critical medical monitoring system, owning requirements, architecture, and testing.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of software engineers and manage technical and functional direction.
• Create and maintain project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules.
• Develop software requirements, architecture, and detailed designs based on product needs.
• Ensure all development adheres to defined software processes in regulated environments.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate system software and hardware.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with embedded real-time software development.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and real-time operating systems (QNX, VxWorks).
• Knowledge of version control systems (GitHub, Perforce).
• Experience in regulated industries (medical/safety-critical).
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
