Description

Develop data extraction, pipelining, and ETL processes for large-scale geospatial and vector datasets.

Responsibilities

• Process geospatial and point cloud datasets using Python and C++ libraries.
• Develop data infrastructure and manipulation methods for complex USGS-type data.
• Implement distributed and parallel computing solutions across multiple systems.
• Solve complex technical problems requiring research-driven approaches and minimal guidance.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience with Point Cloud and vector data.
• Knowledge of Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) formats including 3D Tiles, MVT, WCS, WFS, WMS, and WMTS.
• Hands-on experience with GeoPandas and Pandas.
• Expertise with Geospatial Data Abstraction Library (GDAL).
• Experience with Raster formats such as ESRI Grid, GeoTIFF, JPEG 2000, and NITF.
• Experience using AWS Data Pipeline.
• Competency in parallel programming.
