Description

You will develop, maintain, and support customer-specific software solutions for substation automation products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reusable code using C#/.NET and C++.
• Lead system architecture and design in collaboration with technical experts.
• Review peer code, mentor junior developers, and supervise external consultants.
• Investigate technical issues through root cause analysis and produce technical documentation.
• Develop unit and integration tests while performing manual testing and reporting.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience on Windows platforms.
• 6+ years of recent experience with C#/.NET (LINQ, WCF, Entity, Async, WPF).
• 2+ years of experience with C++.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL databases.
• Fluency in both French and English.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and MS Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of IP protocols (TCP/UDP/IP).
• Experience with VBA and Agile methodologies.
