Drive the technical transformation of enterprise Java applications into cloud-native services on AWS.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing Java/J2EE applications (Struts, Spring, Hibernate, WebLogic) to define cloud-native target architectures on AWS.
• Design and implement migration strategies to transform monolithic applications into microservices.
• Containerize Java applications using Docker and deploy them on AWS ECS or EKS.
• Architect and implement serverless solutions utilizing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of total software development experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on AWS migration and cloud modernization experience.
• Strong programming expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, and Struts.
• Proficiency with AWS core services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, and SNS.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS).
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, monitoring (CloudWatch, X-Ray), and cost optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
