Description

You will lead the migration of legacy Java applications to AWS, modernizing monolithic systems into scalable, cloud-native microservices.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and Lambda.
• Decompose monolithic applications into modular or microservices-based architectures and containerize them using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or CloudFormation to support automated deployments.
• Build reusable migration frameworks and reference implementations to accelerate cloud transformation initiatives.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience with Java/J2EE, including Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience migrating applications from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture principles, and application modernization strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies for automation and reliability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud transformation projects and serverless architectures.
