Description

You will lead the technical design, development, and implementation of full-stack serverless applications for the Digital Correspondence solution.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, serverless backend APIs using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB with Node.js or Python.
• Develop secure, responsive, and accessible web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React.
• Integrate front-end portals and backend services with AWS cloud messaging (Pinpoint, End User Messaging) for SMS and email workflows.
• Implement identity, authentication, and authorization controls using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SMART on FHIR.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code and conduct rigorous peer code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Javascript and Typescript.
• Proven expertise in AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Hands-on proficiency building applications with React.
• Experience with Python as a backend language.
• Practical experience integrating with HL7 FHIR and SMART on FHIR standards.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of OAuth and security standards for health data exchange.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ontario Assets (Provider Registry, Hospital Report Manager).
• Experience with Ontario eReferral systems (Ocean, Novari).
