Description

You will design and develop critical components for the Kindle E-Reader family, focusing on performance, security, and power optimization. You own the release pipeline, shipping code for reading features on Kindle devices and mobile platforms while ensuring operational excellence.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure software architecture to protect customer data on devices.
• Build performant, power-optimized components for the Kindle E-Reader and mobile apps.
• Ship and review code for reading features, collaborating with product owners and UX designers.
• Monitor deployment pipelines and dashboards to maintain optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoot root cause issues and propose solutions across software, hardware, and network layers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of senior-level software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, Java, and React Native.
• Experience in full stack development and distributed systems.
• Proven track record building high-quality software serving millions of users.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple technical teams on complex problems.
• Experience with mobile development for iOS and Android.
• Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kindle E-Reader development or hardware optimization.
