Description

You will build and maintain production backend and full-stack systems, focusing on real-time messaging and notification infrastructure. This role requires independent ownership of 0-to-1 features within a regulated, security-conscious environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement event-driven architectures using WebSockets or similar real-time transport protocols.
• Ensure message durability and delivery guarantees for high-load systems.
• Develop and ship features independently with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate directly with engineering leadership to define technical requirements.
• Maintain strict security and compliance standards in fintech or banking contexts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building production backend or full-stack systems.
• Deep understanding of real-time messaging, chat, or notification infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with event-driven design patterns and message queues.
• Strong communication skills for direct stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a regulated environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with contact-center or CRM-adjacent systems such as Amazon Connect or Salesforce.
• Background in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.
