Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• System Architecture & Development: Design, build and maintain scalable data platforms, REST APIs and microservices on cloud-native infrastructure (AWS).
• Data Integration: Build automated features for enterprise data onboarding, governance, security and external client exchanges.
• Full-Stack Execution: Lead backend development using Java/Spring Boot while handling light frontend interface needs using React and TypeScript.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and fix bottlenecks across APIs, services and large data-processing workloads.
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with a core 5-person team in Arlington, VA, along with cross-functional global engineering teams.

MUST-HAVE (CORE REQUIREMENTS)

• Backend Development: Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, Microservices architecture and scalable System Design.
• Frontend Development: Working experience with React and TypeScript (~20% of workload).
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code optimization.
• Architecture: Enterprise platform design, Data Governance, security standards and building reusable software frameworks.

NICE-TO-HAVE (STRONG PLUS)

• Data Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with data processing concepts and tools like Databricks, PySpark / Spark, Hadoop/Cloudera, SQL, Kafka, Flink, or NiFi.
• AI Integration: Exposure to integrating AI capabilities into data platforms (e.g., governance for agentic frameworks)
