Description

You will design, develop, and optimize bootloaders and kernels for embedded devices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype embedded software solutions for bootloader and kernel functionality.
• Develop, review, and unit test high-quality code for embedded Linux systems.
• Manage the C++ build process and optimize memory and performance.
• Implement inter-process communications (IPC) and remote procedure calls (RPC).
• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams to deliver embedded subsystems.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in embedded software architecture and development.
• Expertise in C and C++ (C++11, C++14, or C++17).
• Deep knowledge of Embedded Linux, BSP, and Linux subsystems.
• Extensive experience with POSIX-based systems such as Linux or QNX.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, algorithms, and device drivers.
• Proficiency in communication paradigms including client-server, peer-to-peer, and publish/subscribe.
• Experience with memory and performance profiling tools.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IP-based protocols: HTTP, TLS, REST, Websockets, JSON, XML, Protobufs, Flatbuffers, RTP, RTSP, or HLS.
