Description

You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and internal tooling while contributing to user-facing applications for listing, enrichment, and merchandising workflows.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, performant, and testable code in a production environment.
• Participate in architectural decisions and help shape the platform's future.
• Review pull requests, pair program, and support team collaboration and onboarding.
• Deploy code to production with a strong focus on reliability and quality.
• Leverage observability tools, metrics, and incident learnings to improve system performance.

Required Skills

• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of backend development and modern web applications.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Git, TypeScript, and common development tools.
• Familiarity with JVM-based services (Java/Kotlin).
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and streaming systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Knowledge of database fundamentals and API design (GraphQL or similar).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JVM services in production environments.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
