Description

You will develop safety- and security-critical embedded software for new Programmable Logic Controllers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead high- and detailed-level design of controller features and subsystems.
• Develop software for diverse environments, including commercial off-the-shelf and custom System on Chip architectures.
• Partner with test personnel to construct testable requirements and implement automated test engineering practices.
• Mentor less experienced personnel and encourage knowledge sharing within the development community.
• Participate in an agile team within the Scaled Agile Framework to improve team health and velocity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in C++ with a strong understanding of object-oriented analysis, design, and programming.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with QNX.
• Experience with Linux and Embedded RTOS.
• Experience directing the day-to-day technical activities of a small team of engineers.
• Experience working within real-time embedded development environments.
• Ability to work with modern continuous integration and development tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing software to meet safety and security standards like IEC 61508 or IEC 62443.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) or communication technologies like Ethernet, USB, or PCI Express.
• Experience with device drivers, low-level embedded software, embedded Hypervisors, or bare metal environments.
